3D Motion Design

Prerequisites: KCDM 365

Course Description:

Students will integrate digital 2D and 3D techniques to create motion graphics related to their major area of study. Students will create 3D assets, animation, and compositing for digital multimedia.

Course Outcomes:

The student will:

  • Analyze animation and motion graphics genres, the related copyright issues, and possible distribution channels

  • Create an animation or motion graphic project concept in concise verbal, visual, and written formats

  • Apply a design and production process and utilize software that is congruent with current industry standards within the student’s major area of study

  • Critique and receive critique for projects, relative to the stated objectives, as a member of a review group, and then advance them accordingly
