I chose to interview my grandpa because he has always been one of the most fascinating and influential people in my life. His intelligence, curiosity, and sharp memory make every conversation with him both insightful and entertaining. From his time at Alden High School to Cornell and his service in the Army, he has had such a unique journey that I wanted to learn more about firsthand. He is also the person who has always encouraged my education, asking about my classes and offering advice whenever he can. By interviewing him, I hoped to gain a deeper understanding of the experiences that shaped him into the person I admire so much today.
