September 2021 to Today (currently in 2nd year of undergraduate)
Sevenans, Territoire de Belfort, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, France
I'm currently in my second year of undergraduate studies at UTBM, and I will pursue my studies in the computer science department. During my first two years here, I completed a scientific common core curriculum that covered a range of subjects in physics, chemestry, mathematics, engineering and computer science.
This year, I've been focusing more on computer-related subjects, such as programming, algorithms, data structures, databases, computer networks and computer vision. I'm excited to apply what I've learned to real-world problems through the UTAC Challenge 2023, an opportunity that my university usually provides to last year students in Computer Vision. However, I had the priviledge to be selected as the only undergraduate student for this competition.
In addition to my scientific coursework, I've also had the chance to learn about non-scientific subjects such as economics, ecology, energy management, history, and geography. This interdisciplinary approach has helped me develop a broader perspective and a better understanding of the societal context in which technology operates.
Furthermore, UTBM recognizes the importance of soft skills, which is why they included courses on stress and time management in the curriculum. I've been able to develop strategies to cope with the demands of academic and professional life, which has improved my ability to balance competing priorities.
Overall, I feel grateful for the education that UTBM has provided me so far, and I'm looking forward to continuing my studies in computer science and applying my skills to real-world challenges.
January 2023 to June 2023 (ERASMUS Exchange Program)
A Coruña Capital, A Coruña, Galicia, Spain
I'm currently studying computer science at the University of Coruña as part of the ERASMUS program. This experience has been incredibly valuable for me, as I've had the opportunity to gain international experience and expand my horizons.
Studying abroad as part of the ERASMUS program has required me to develop a high level of autonomy, as I navigate a new culture and academic environment on my own. Through this experience, I am improving my independence, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
Additionally, studying in a foreign language has helped me make great progress in improving my Spanish, which is a valuable skill that will serve me well in both my academic and professional pursuits.
Being part of the ERASMUS program has also allowed me to meet new people and expand my social network. I have made connections with people from all over the world, which has given me a diverse perspective and global network.
Overall, studying computer science at the University of Coruña as part of the ERASMUS program has been an excellent opportunity for me to gain international experience, develop my autonomy and communication skills, and expand my social network. I am grateful for this experience and am excited to see where it takes me in the future.
September 2018 to July 2021
Brunoy, Essonne, Ile-de-France, France
During my time at Saint Pierre Secondary School, I followed a scientific formation that included courses in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Sciences. I was particularly interested in Maths, so I decided to take the Expert Mathematics Option to further enhance my skills in this subject.
Aside from sciences, I wanted to broaden my horizons and improve my communication skills in English, so I opted for the European Section in English. This program allowed me to learn more about the cultural elements of the English-speaking world, particularly the UK and Ireland, which are both located in Europe. I even had the opportunity to visit Ireland and take the Cambridge Assessment Test, which I passed at the B2 level in March 2021, earning me a Baccalauréat with European mention.
Additionally, I also pursued the Music Option to develop my artistic abilities, gain self-confidence, and learn how to work effectively with others. Playing music with my peers helped me to handle stress and taught me the importance of teamwork.
Overall, my time at Saint Pierre Secondary School provided me with a well-rounded education that has prepared me for future academic and personal challenges.
