The department purchased the 1956 GMC 500 gallon per minute pumper. The sticker price on this engine was $12,500.Â

The department needed another ambulance, so they purchased a 1966 Ford Station Wagon ambulance.

The department acquired a International Baker’s delivery truck as the first utility vehicle, due to a need for an additional vehicle to carry pumps, hose and other items.
On the left is Ex-President Melvin Kukich and inside the Ambulance is Ex-Chief Bruno Cinti.

The ambulance service were further enhanced with the purchase of a 1971 Chevrolet ambulance, which was later donated.

The main chassis is a Spartan with a seven-man cab, numerous storage areas, a light tower, and one of the largest truck mounted vacuum pumps. It is still in service to this day.
