Of course, there is no certainty that these manorial Lords actually resided in the village, indeed several had manors elsewhere. Though note that the Crackenthorpres did live in nearby Newbiggin Hall.
The following records based on wills, deeds and parish records (though unfortunately I couldn’t find any manorial tenancies) do show Culgaith people. Note that many early parish records were in Kirkland parish (so Culgaith residents may or may not be indicated as such). The following list is a very selective list with the earliest examples taken for each type of record.
Leonard Bewley, of Culgaith 1566 Will and inventory [CASCAT]
Peter Chirdon, of Culgaith 1574 Will and inventory [CASCAT]

Edmond Sowel & Sarah Spidding of Culgaith 1686 marriage [BTs Kirkland]
Robert Sewell, Sarah Williamson Marriage 31 May 1762 [Culgaith PR - FamilySearch]
Though not a proof of continuous residency, there were still Richardson and Sewell families in the village in 1881 (but apparently not Thompson).
