Becoming a parent is a time of great change and as well as the obvious joys there are many challenges.  The role of the Cuidiú Parent Supporter is to provide support to parents as they find their feet and deal with the many ups and downs along this journey.   As parents, being able to talk with ease, openly, honestly and without judgement about parenting in a safe environment is one of the most valuable services we offer through our Parent Support Sector.  Our Parent Supporters provide a listening ear as well as general support and evidence based information to support parents and carers throughout their parenthood journey.

Parent supporters do not offer advice or tell you how to be the best parents.  They do not have any magic solutions.  But they will give you a comfortable and welcoming environment and will provide a space for you to talk in confidence about the ups and downs of parenting.  Many of our supporters also speak different languages.
