For this project, my partner and I chose different countries. We explored the technical differences, similarities and used the technical skills we learned throughout the course. Some of these skills include adding transitions to animation to the way of viewing slides.
My partner chose Spain, and I chose Japan. One thing I learned about Spain was that they have a culturally diverse population. I thought they were mostly like Japan, which is homogeneous. Something I learned about Japan was that they are working to make generative AI less harmful to humanity.
For this project, I had to research an upcoming technology and complete a project about it. I went into the info around it, pros and cons, and the current news about the technology I chose.
I chose to talk about Neuralinks. This is a device that gets implanted in the human brain, which would allow a computer to translate a person’s thoughts into actions. It also allows the individual to do anything we do today through typing, pressing buttons, or manipulating a mouse or joystick. This works by thinking about the desired result. It allows information to be beamed from a computer back into the brain.
I chose to talk about Neuralinks not only because it's interesting but because they are similar to something in my favorite game, Cyberpunk 2077. This type of tech can be both a forward step in humanity and detrimental too.
An interesting thing I learned was that 3 people have been tested on that currently have Neurolinks in their brains.
