Computers are made up of so many physical components. Some of these components are the motherboard, CPU, hard drive, RAM, and power supply.
The motherboard is the computer's main way that helps everything communicate with each other.
The CPU, which stands for central processing unit, is the brain of the computer. It executes commands and handles processing.
The hard drive stores the computer's long-term memories. Things like your files and data.
The RAM (random access memory) is the short-term memory. It's there for quick things like temporary data and quick programs. RAM also gets cleared when you restart or shut down your device.
The power supply is simply the computer's power.
I love how computers replicate the human body!!! The motherboard is the inner body of a computer, and the CPU is the brain (Obviously), the hard drive and RAM are the memories inside the body, and the power supply is the food it consumes. I also think of wires as veins, and when people decorate their pc's its basically just clothing.
The most recent tech I've been interested in is the Steam Machine. It's basically a computer and gaming console in one. You can mod games on it, it contains both Steam, Xbox, and PS games. Below shows more of the main features of it.
Click the Wii menu to go home or enter the CD to go to the next unit or previous unit!
