About This Project

The global research project was intended to combine individual research with team work. Each of us got to pick a country or city to research individually, and then we would compare and contrast the location with the location our partner had in a presentation.

Why did I Choose Seoul, South Korea?

Seoul is the capital of South Korea. Not only do I love South Korean culture, but I plan to teach English abroad and South Korea is one of the countries I will go to. I wanted to take this opportunity to learn more about the place I will be living in.

Lessons Learned

• The population is significantly more than what I thought it would be in Seoul.

• The Korean Language was originally based on Chinese characters.

• Korea is the king of new technology

• America needs better internet speed. I mean, come on... Korea has 200x faster internet speed then America!

• Addiction can be caused my more than just substances put in the body, in this case, technology addiction exists and I wasn't aware of that.

• I love South Korea even more now!!!
