despite there being more women authors and writers at 60.2%, they make a significantly less amount of money compare to men. They make an average of $55,063 while men make an average of $72,719.
The majority of authors and writers are white, at an overwhelming 80.7%. A huge racial gap.
My Advice?
Practice!!! Always keep writing. Write when you want to, write when you don't. write about something as simple as the texture of your carpet, or as complex as a new world you built in your head. As long as you keep writing then you can get anywhere.

Lessons Learned
Publishing is a lot more different now than I thought it would be. Mostly, because of technology. Unless you already have a huge following, its nearly impossible to publish through a publisher. Self publishing is the way to go now.
Self publishing is not as difficult as I thought. But it takes a lot of effort and determination.
And lastly, I'm going to have to learn the art of marketing. I'm clueless when it comes to that but I it will be necessary no matter which publishing route I take.
