In this project we learned about different media types and how to create, access and include source and license information.
This is a photo I took while on vacation in Virginia. I used GIMP 3.2.2 to edit the photo. First, I cropped out part of a sidewalk that was in the lower right corner of the photo. I also added text to the photo stating the location and year the photo was taken.

This audio file is the sound of rain hitting a tin roof. I chose this sound because I find it to be peaceful and relaxing.
The file is an MP3 file that I found on the Pixabay.com website, which contains many royalty-free audio clips.
The Pixabay website includes a License Summary that explains what users are allowed to do with the content from the website. Basically, anything can be done with the media as long as it is morally appropriate. The Content License allows users to use the content for free and without having to give credit to the author, but I choose to give credit to the author, Molly Roselee. The content can be modified or adapted into new creations.

A GIF file is a looping digital image that is a series of moving images. GIF files do not contain sound.
I found this animated butterfly GIF file on Pixabay.com. I chose it because I liked the color scheme and a butterfly is something found in nature.
License: Free to use. According to the License Summary on the Pixabay website, credit does not have to be given to the author.
Lessons Learned
This experience was entirely new to me. While working on this project I learned that it took a lot more effort than I thought to figure out how to navigate through the various sites. I think that digital media is cool but extremely complicated at the same time. The more practice I have the easier it will become. I did not know aout creative commons before and I learned how to license my work. I learned that there are tons of websites where I can access or create digital media.
