On my very first day of this class, when the professor began, I was honestly anxious and excited. As the class progressed, I realized there are many simple and general computer skills that I need to learn and practice.
Notebook setup
Brightspace Observation
SIMnet registration and essential SIMpath
Outlook SIMpath
Professional email
I started writing notes in my notebook about what I have learned and what I still need to learn.
I discovered how we can share and comment on our learning through the discussion board by creating threads.
I registered in SIMnet and practiced essential SIMpaths and Outlook.
I explored Brightspace features such as checkmarks, dots, alternative formats, web pages, and its toolbar.
I also wrote a professional email and submitted my professional email assignment.
I have learned how information systems communicate information to us.
I already knew how to write an email, butI gained new skills in writing a professional emails.
I also learned key terms such as IS, LMS,UI, waffle (as related to UI), Hamburger (as related to UI), CC, BCC, attachment, signature file.
I learned how to create rules and signature files.
I didn't know how to screenshot on a desktop-only on phone- so learning about Snipping Tool was fun for me.
Below are my screenshots of creating rule and signature file.
Overall, it was very fun to learn Unit 0 because I was able to build, manage, and improve my computer knowledge and technology skills. Learning is not only a great experience, but also understanding the proper use of technology by exploring various computer tools and applying them in daily life as well as at work is truly valuable.
