Volunteers entirely run Crosfields Junior Soccer Section.
From the people who sit on the Executive Committee, the Team Managers & coaches, including those who make up the match day drinks for the players, wash the match kits or collect training fees. All give up their free time voluntarily & all contribute significantly to the running of our Club.
Crosfields Junior Soccer Section could not operate without the input from these valuable members. Our Club currently owes so much of its success to the Volunteers who give up their time tirelessly to ensure that the children can play football. Indeed all of those concerned are the unsung heroes.
Our Club is keen that the efforts of all Volunteers are recognised & appreciated & would like to offer its sincerest thanks to all those involved in running our Club & making it such a success. Each month we ask for nominations from the parents & players as to who they would like to nominate as Volunteer of the Month. This is your chance to thank those special people who help run your age group or our Club. All Volunteers of the Month are posted out by Club email & on our Club website.
The Football Association also recognises the value of all Volunteers at grassroots football & has set up a scheme of recognition for those who give up their time to help. The Club will then choose one extra special Volunteer from the nominations who will be put forward for recognition to the Liverpool County Football Association. The County F.A. will then nominate a Volunteer for National recognition
There are many ways in which you can Volunteer to help our Club (from coaching to administration work to fundraising etc.) if you are interested in helping out, either for your particular age group or for the Club as a whole, please let your Team Manager or our Club Secretary know. All Volunteers must firstly complete a Volunteers Registration form for Child Protection reasons before they can be accepted to help out within our Club. Our Club keeps a register of everyone working within our Club per FA guidelines & the FA Charter Standards & we have over 100 Volunteers. Once your Volunteers registration has been accepted, you will be issued an FA CRB Form which must be completed & returned to our Club's Child Protection Officer within one month. Everyone working with the players must be CRB checked in line with the FA Charter Standards for Child Protection reasons.
