At Crescendo we focus on maximising fun from the start. We use a range of learning styles and games alongside sheet music to help students learn.
Each year we create a student scrapbook of everything students do in a year. We also have a student show case to share their progress with friends and family.
While we believe everyone no matter their age can love music due to the physical needs of each instrument there is a recommended minimum age to begin playing.
Flute - 6 years on a plastic flute - 7 on a metal flute
Clarinet
Plastic C clarinet - From age 7
Bb clarinet - minimum age 8
Saxophone
Alto saxophone - From 8
Tenor saxophone - From 12
Soprano saxophone - From 12
Baritone saxophone - From 14 minimum smaller students may be better beginning on a Tenor
Violin
Guitar
Piano
For students younger than 6 we have musical explorers sessions which are designed in a way to give students all the skills they need to continue on to an instrument.
