Several Stories of Innovation are included in the book but here is a sneak preview of three of the amazing Stories of Innovation changing businesses and schools. Check out these organizations.
Sanchita Sur created Emplay as an inquiry based learning platform using chat bots. Cheryl recognized the Use Case of Emplay as it was similar to an idea she was exploring while working at Oracle Data Cloud. With a background in Educational Technology and several years selling data while working for Information Handling Services, Cheryl knew AI could automate a lot of the training resources sales reps needed when in the field. Learning in the flow of work is a critical need for sales teams.
Emplay's solutions include Learning and Coaching Bots, Autonomous Selling Bots, and Advisory Service Bots. The platform works with several different tools (Slack, Facebook Messenger, etc.) and supports Onboarding, Training and Enablement and Performance Coaching Use Cases.
Cheryl believes in the solution and can introduce your organization.
Of course Dr. Alice Christie would be highlighted in Stories of Innovation as she was Cheryl's professor at Arizona State University, and ignited her passion for educational technology! Dr. Christie, a President's Professor with a long career at Arizona State University shares her story in #NoCredentials: Stories of Innovation & Transformation including her childhood experiences growing up in a Quaker community.
Dr. Christie and Cheryl discovered they are 8th cousins while working on her chapter as Cheryl knew she had relatives from the Northeast who were Quakers. Dr. Christie had a love of technology as soon as it was introduced and brought it into her Science classrooms.
She took a Sabbatical, packed up her young son and moved to Arizona to earn a PhD in Educational Technology but learned it was just being created so she received her PhD in Literacy. She then built the Educational Technology Master's Program at the newly built West Campus of Arizona State University in Glendale, Arizona where she met Cheryl.
While teaching a course on sales at SCORE, Cheryl met the CEO of a new Start-up in Seattle called Green GrubBox! She loved the tag line, "Enjoy the taste, without the waste" and could relate with Ted's story of sitting in the Columbia Tower Food Court and trying to figure out which bin to put her trash in when finished eating.
Now Cheryl works with Ted as a client helping him put together a strategy to expand his foot print in downtown eateries where a lot of waste is created. She is working with connecting him to schools, hospitals, and large buildings with food courts as the platform he has built is a game changer for our earth! She is all about promoting things that are about sustainability and keeping our beautiful earth clean.
