Step 4 - Dynamic Dialogue
TO KNOW - DYNAMIC DIOLOGUE
TO BE ABLE TO - IDENTIFY WHAT MAKES GOOD DIALOGUE FOR
creative writing and correct punctuation when using dialogue
DIALOGUE SHOULD DO AT LEAST TWO OF THESE THINGS:
1.Move the plot forward.
2.Reveal something about the character(s).
3.Make the scene more dynamic
PUNCTUATION AND DIALOGUE
Quotation marks like "Hey Mr Smith," demonstrates when a character is talking in a story. For example -
"My goodness you're such a good writer," beamed Mr Smith. "Thanks sir," said Barney.
Task 1 - Creating Conversations
Create the conversation for the
following scenarios. Each character in your scenario needs to have at least four seperate pieces of dialogue.
Remember to -
1 - Follow the three rules of dynamic dialogue.
2 - Use correct punctuation when writing a conversation between two characters.
