This tool allows you to see the total number of views and downloads of your webpages and resources.
How to access: (must be on VPN):
Under Quick Links on main Intranet Page
To see reports for public facing webpages, select “External VDH Website”
Good for searching within your all of your webpages.
Example: Blue Ridge Webpages: www.vdh.virginia.gov/blue-ridge/
Search field: enter “/blue-ridge/”
Make sure to always include a forward slash at the beginning of the search entry.
Good for searching for a particular page.
Enter an EXACT spelling of a directory path/URL for page of interest.
For example, don’t enter “shellfish-safety” to see hits under this page.
Instead enter: “/environmental-health/environmental-health-services/shellfish-safety/”
Make sure to always include a forward slash at the beginning of the search entry.
Can help find websites and resources outside of your webpages
This tool can show you what webpage URLs/links are broken or have an error.
Once in WordPress:
Go to “My Sites” to select the website you want to review
For example, some people may oversee a multiple websites like Coronavirus and Office of Epidemiology.
Click “Broken Links” on the bottom left side of the page.
The link checker will show you:
What link(s) has an issue
The type of error
The link text
The page the link is located (source)
Hover over the link (URL)
Click Edit URL
Enter new link
You can also update link text if desired
Press Update
This will update link directly on the webpage(s) the link it on.
You do not have to update the link on the webpage itself.
Unlink - will remove link from webpage(s)
Not Broken - will mark link as not broken
Dismiss - Won't show up on list again unless its status changes.
