Mobile Responsiveness
The great news is that newsletters sent out through govDelivery are designed to be mobile-friendly. The not-so-great news is that some of that mobile responsiveness is based on the selections you make when developing your newsletter. One of those decisions is whether or not to select text wrapping with images.
How to Toggle Text Wrapping
When you choose the Image + Text option you have the option to toggle on or off the text wrapping feature. If you choose this feature, your newsletter will be much more mobile friendly.
To do this, choose the button toggle text wrapping button, highlighted in the image.
Don't see the button? Don't worry! It only shows up when you have added the Image + Text content block.
Mobile Responsiveness Example
In the graphic below, the image on the left is a mobile-sized newsletter using the Image + Text content block with the text-wrapping feature toggled ON. The image on the right is a mobile-sized newsletter using the Image + Text content block with the text-wrapping feature toggled OFF.
If you'll notice in the image with text wrapping off, there is a large block of empty space under the image.
Depending on the size of your image, the viewer could get as little as only a couple of letters along the side. The image on the left is certainly easier to read!
