A fully custom designed and built system specifically designed for controlling the colors of the LED strips in all six boxes. Each box has two LED strips, with wires connecting back to a control box back stage. All of the LED strips and wires have connectors to allow easy removal and transportation of the entire system. The side panneling was constructed of three diffusion layers. The first was a thin translucent plastic, then a layer of acrylic, and finally a textured stained-glass patterned plastic. The three layers combine together to diffuse as much light as possible. Aluminum tape hides all of the seams and nails used to attach these panels to the physical boxes.
There are six joined control boxes, one for each actor box. Each has six dials, controlling the intensity of red, green, and blue across two different LED strips. There are six additional switches to completely disable individual colors. Finally there is one last switch with three different positions, one position activating a single LED strip, one activating the other LED strip, and one position turning both off. There is a total of 132 individually soldered wires across all six boxes. All parts are labeled in order for future operators to understand how to use the control box.
