Hazards
Skin Irritation: Prolonged or repeated contact with CT-90 can irritate the skin, causing redness, dryness, or cracking.
Eye Irritation: Contact with splashes or mists can irritate the eyes, leading to redness, watering, or stinging.
Inhalation: Inhaling vapours, especially in poorly ventilated areas, can cause respiratory irritation, dizziness, nausea, or headaches.
Environmental Impact: CT-90 can be harmful to aquatic life if released into the environment.
Control Measures
Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation in workplaces where CT-90 is used.
Work Practices: Minimize skin contact by avoiding prolonged or unnecessary exposure. Clean work surfaces and tools regularly to prevent build-up of CT-90. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after use and before breaks.
Storage: Store CT-90 in a cool, dry place away from heat, ignition sources, and strong oxidizing agents. Keep containers cap on when not in use.
Personal Protective Equipment
Safety Glasses or Goggles: Wear safety glasses or chemical goggles to protect your eyes from splashes.
Gloves: Wear chemical-resistant gloves, such as nitrile or butyl rubber gloves, to protect your hands from prolonged or repeated contact.
Respiratory Protection: If ventilation is inadequate and there is a risk of inhaling vapours, use a respirator with appropriate cartridges for organic vapours.
