Third Quarter Taxes Due by Friday August 23, 2024

Due to the delay in receiving the certified tax rate for the 2024 tax billing, the third quarter 2024 taxes grace period will be extended August 23, 2024, there shall be no grace period after August 23, 2024 and interest will be charged back to August 1, 2024.  

Tax Bills were mailed Monday July 22, 2024 and are available in the Tax Portal.

TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to Resolution 53-2024, adopted by the City Council of the City of Corbin City, the following parcel(s) of real property will be offered for sale to the highest bidder at public auction conducted by the City Clerk pursuant to the provisions of the Local Land and Buildings Law (N.J.S.A. 40A:12-1, et seq.) on Monday August 12, 2024 at 5:30 P.M. in the City Hall Meeting Room, 316 Route 50, Corbin City, NJ, and subject to the following terms and conditions:

1. All bids shall be referred to City Council for review and final approval pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:12-13.

2. Bids below the minimum bid threshold will not be considered, and the City reserves the right to accept the highest bid or to reject all bids, including the highest bid.

3. Upon the close of bidding, the highest qualified bidder, as designated by the City Clerk, shall submit by cash, certified check, or money order made payable to the City of Corbin City, a deposit in the amount of ten percent (10%) of his/her bid and an escrow deposit of two-hundred fifty dollars ($250.00). Any deposit made by an unsuccessful bidder or for a rejected bid shall be returned.

4. At the close of title, the purchaser shall pay the costs of all advertising of the sale, all costs associated with the preparation and recording of the City’s Deed, which shall be in the form of a Quitclaim Deed, and all legal fees incurred by the City in connection with the sale.
