Here are 18 tactics to optimize your LinkedIn posting strategy.
Your #1 goal is to add value to your audience while fostering meaningful interactions.
Your OTHER #1 goal is to us these tactics to convince the LinkedIn algorithm that you deserve more exposure and... LinkedIn Love.
Remember that Linkedin, Social Networks, and all your content are BOTH for one-on-one interactions with specific targets AND as "Inbound" to be found by relevant prospects.
All this assumes that your LinkedIn Profile is complete and consistent.
1. Content Strategy:
Develop a series of connected posts that tell a confident and memorable brand story. Ensure each post provides valuable insights related to your industry, showcasing your expertise and helpful opinions.
2. Consistency:
Maintain a consistent posting schedule to keep your audience engaged. Regular posting helps improve visibility and engagement with your content. After you see results with weekly posts, you will want to increase your capabilities to daily.
3. Engaging Content:
Go beyond mere likes, "Great point," and "I went to this event." Addressing specific issues can demonstrate your leadership and encourage more meaningful discussions. Share your Spiky POV = Something you believe in that is surprising and true!
4. Visuals:
Incorporate eye-catching visuals, images, infographics, and videos to be better understood and make your posts stand out in users' feeds.
5. Hashtags:

6. Call to Action:
Include a clear CTA in your posts, encouraging users to like, comment, or share. This not only gives you something to measure but also boosts engagement and visibility. Think like LinkedIn—they want to keep people there, so don't always have links to your site. Cross-link to your other LinkedIn content.
7. Engage with Comments:
Respond promptly to comments on your posts, fostering meaningful conversations. This signals to the algorithm that your content is valuable and rewards you with more distribution to your network and adjacent connections.
8. Network Engagement:
Engage with other users' posts by leaving thoughtful comments. This can create reciprocity and increase the likelihood of new adjacent connections engaging with your content.
9. Long-Form Content:
Write articles, a LinkedIn Newsletter, and deeper posts that delve into industry insights or trends. Take stands... get real... EARN your position as an authority in your field.
10. Tag Relevant Connections:
Use @name to tag relevant connections in your posts (only when appropriate), notifying them with a link. Make it easy for them to like or comment.
11. Leverage LinkedIn Features:
Experiment with features like polls, document attachments, and LinkedIn Live to diversify your content and engage your audience in different ways.
12. Track Analytics:
Monitor LinkedIn Analytics to understand which posts are performing well and adjust your content strategy accordingly.
13. Engagement Tactics:
Interact actively with your network by liking, commenting, and sharing relevant content. Design posts to be conversational, asking questions or sharing personal experiences to inspire participation.
14. LinkedIn Stories:
Share behind-the-scenes moments or quick updates to connect with your audience on a personal level.
15. Strategic Networking:
Connect with professionals in your field and personalize connection requests with friendly messages. Host live Q&A sessions or polls to actively engage your audience and encourage participation.
16. Cross-Linking for Influence:
Include links to your previous posts within new content to encourage exploration and extend your influence.
17. Analytics Insights:
Review post analytics to identify high-performing content. Adjust your strategy based on results.
18. Authenticity BONUS:
It's acceptable to ask partners, friends, or colleagues to engage with your posts, but the algorithm values true interest. Be rewarded by adding real value and sparking authentic interactions.
