I'm an educational psychologist who has a passion for helping learners and teachers through my research and teaching. I'm currently working as an Associate Professor in the Division of Education at Sookmyung Women's University in South Korea.

My research interests focus on the impacts of different personal and contextual factors on students’ motivation, engagement, and academic achievement. I am especially interested in how the actual or implied presence of others (e.g., peers in classroom) influences students’ motivation to learn.
