We have read the Angus Local Development Plan, (ALDP) September 2016, and identified several direct conflicts between that, and the details of the CFL planning application, submitted by their agents, COGEO
On this website, we have fully referenced data to back up our opinions
A brief summary of these conflicts is as follows:
The large carbon footprint of the proposed development and long term pollution implications;
The scale and location of CFL’s proposed development and its failure to ‘fit’ in the landscape;
Taking 98.9 acres of Prime Agricultural Land out of production;
Failure to consider brownfield sites, and more suitable sites near existing farm buildings
Proposing to build very close to residential properties
Negative effects on the water environment and increased flood risk
Direct conflicts with other aspects of the environment, through location and point of access impacting on the amenity of those who live nearby.
