Le Centre Condorcet vise à mener et promouvoir des recherches dans les domaines de l’économie politique, du choix public, de l’évaluation des politiques publiques, de la théorie de la décision, du droit et de l’économie, des finances publiques et du fonctionnement des institutions publiques et privées. À cette fin, il favorise les analyses théoriques, empiriques et expérimentales, dégagées au travers des recherches entreprises par ses membres. Fondé en novembre 2011, il contribue au rayonnement international du Centre de Recherche en Economie et Management (CREM ), unité mixte de recherche CNRS, et à l’élargissement de son réseau, par l’organisation de séminaires, workshops, conférences, et par la publication de nombreux working papers entrant dans le champ de ses recherches. 


The Condorcet Center for Political Economy is a research center which aims at carrying out research projects and promoting tools in the domain of public policies, at the local, national and international level. The center supports theoretical, empirical and experimental analyses, conducted by the methodologies of economics. In the past years, it has organized many events and joint activities with other research centers. The number of working and published papers proves its dynamism. The host research institute for the Condorcet Center is a CNRS unit, the Center for Research in Economics and Management (CREM).

Researchers in the field provide high-level publications in international journals: e.g., Journal of Public Economics, Public Choice, European Journal of Health Economics, Review of International Organizations, European Journal of Law and Economics.

The CREM

The Center for Research in Economics and Management (CREM) is a joint research unit of the University of Rennes and the University of Caen-Basse Normandie. CREM counts more than 240 members, who teach and do research in different areas: macroeconomics and finance, public economics and social choice, industrial economics, business and management.

International recognition

Based on a 10-year worldwide computation, the CREM belongs to the 10% of top laboratories in economics.

Master IMEPP

The master IMEPP (Ingénierie, management et évaluation des politiques publiques) is co-accredited by ENS-Rennes (Ecole Normale Supérieure de Rennes).

International Master

The International Master in Public Finance is a joint program with the Universities of Fribourg, Tampere, Piemontale Orientale, Mazaryk, Turin and Minho.

In-service training

The Faculty of Economics of Rennes offers several alternatives for professionals who wish to increase their proficiency in the management and evaluation of public policies.
