Built-in Fixtures: Fixed elements like kitchen cabinetry, bathroom fixtures, vanities, and fireplaces, as these determine outlet and lighting needs.
Furniture Layout: A light-toned or dashed furniture layout helps determine functional outlet placement and accent lighting locations.
Outlets & Receptacles: Location of duplex outlets, GFCI (ground-fault circuit interrupter) outlets in wet areas (kitchen/bath), and USB-integrated outlets.
Specialty Power Sources: Dedicated outlets for large appliances (oven, refrigerator, microwave, HVAC units) and 220-volt outlets.
Switches: Location of single-pole, three-way (for hallways/stairs), and dimmer switches.
Data & Communication: Outlets for internet, television (TV), telephone, and security systems.
Service Equipment: Main electrical panel, sub-panels, and meters.

Circuit Lines: Dashed or solid lines connecting fixtures and outlets, often including circuit numbers to indicate which circuit breaker controls them.
Dimensions to Key Features: Dimensioning the exact location of critical items like centered vanity lights or specialized recessed lighting.
Coordination with HVAC/Plumbing: Ensuring lighting fixtures do not conflict with HVAC ducts, diffusers, or plumbing pipes, often checked against a reflected ceiling plan.
