Maria Alejandra Arteaga is an undergraduate student majoring in Chemical Engineering at The University of Texas at San Antonio. She is currently exploring research interests at the intersection of computational methods, materials science, and health-related applications of chemical engineering. .
Her previous research experience includes computational analysis and Python-based data processing applied to probabilistic crack growth modeling of aircraft structures. Maria’s current project focuses on hydrogels formed by coil–bottlebrush–coil polymers, studying the relationship between morphology and ion transport.
In her free time, she enjoys painting, playing video games, and reading. .
