Abelardo Ramirez-Hernandez

Abelardo Ramirez-Hernandez received a BSc and a PhD degree in Physics from the Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Morelos (Mexico). After that, he joined Prof. Juan de Pablo’s group at the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a postdoctoral fellow working on the coarse-grained modeling of self-assembling block copolymers. During 2012-2018, he worked at the Institute for Molecular Engineering in Argonne National Laboratory and the University of Chicago. In August 2018, Abelardo began as a tenure track Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at The University of Texas at San Antonio. He is interested in the behavior of complex polymers in solution and interfaces, liquid crystalline and colloidal materials.
