It is up to us to decide which level of existence we want for ourselves. For human incarnation, anything is possible, even attaining divinity. Higher the goal, the loftier the task. Yet, nothing is impossible, but ignorance is the root cause of all our suffering. Seekers of truth shall be able to accomplish all their mind, body, and soul expectation and be examples for all of humanity.

We are already born a millionaire if we add up the value of all the organs of our body. A kidney alone is worth more than $250,000 in the black market because there are thousands of people waiting for a transplant. More than 100,000 people are on the waiting list in the US alone. During the pandemic, there were reports of people being killed for organ harvest. There is a reason it is said that we are worth more dead than alive. Sadly, failing to realize what a precious gift the body is, we tend to abuse it and practice habits that are harmful to the body.

Similarly, our mind and the ability to think, plan and feel is also priceless. Yet, we do the same with it too. We remain ignorant and fall into the trap of becoming the servant to the whims of the mind. When we are controlled by desires of all sorts, our mind becomes our enemy. There is a reason we are taught, Mind is a good servant, but a bad master. Only when we master the mind. life becomes a fruitful journey.

Soul, the ever-present witness consciousness. is not even acknowledged by the majority of modern humans. The path to the soul is not through material accumulation or sensual gratification. It is through the silence and the nurturing of our intuition. An elevated soul sees the presence of the infinite consciousness in everything and everyone. That is the ultimate experience of what the Eastern books of knowledge call "sat chit ananda" or existence, consciousness. and bliss.

BODY

The vehicle to traverse the physical world needs to be kept in shape for the travel through the earth plane.

SOUL AWARENESS

Sure, we are said to consist of three basic components - the body, the mind and the soul. It is easy to see the physical body that is in the earthly material plane. Most people actually associate only their body with their identity. They do everything for the body's pleasure.

Then we can also easily recognize the mind because we are going through the day with thoughts that constantly barrage through our head. According to a recent scientific study, humans have 6,200 thoughts per day. ( Earlier studies suggested something like 50,000 - 70,000. ) Even with 6,200 thoughts in a day, that is close to 260 thoughts per hour, and four thoughts per minute. That sounds right. But we have to be aware that some people are supposed to be blessed with a mad monkey mind, so they have no control of their thoughts. They are constantly swayed by their thoughts and distracted.

Well done, but then the question comes: How do we understand the soul? Where is it and how to know it? Is there a way? Yes, there is. I have used it during my presentations when the audience is willing. Here are the basic things to understand to know the soul. First, the world we live in is that of duality. That means there is also the object and the observer. Second, the soul is even more infinitesimally subtle than the thoughts. As we go from the body to mind and then the soul, the energy we are talking about becomes infinitesimally smaller. The soul energy is the smallest and hence can be omnipresent.

So, let's recognize our soul. Here is a simple experiment.

Sit in a meditative pose, and relax. Start deep breathing.

Now, pay attention to different parts of your body. The body consciousness is easy.

Next, start observing your thoughts and count them, if you wish. Recognize the thoughts, be mindful, and then let them pass, or send them away with a thank you. Mind awareness.

Now comes the tricky part. What is making you aware of the thoughts in your mind? What is observing the thoughts? There is a subtle force that is witnessing the thought and feelings you are having. That is the observer, or witness consciousness - the soul. As we established earlier, the soul is the witness observing every thought, word, and action. Actually, our soul also has a language, It is called feelings. I tend to think that the soul is like the black box in airplanes. In other words, it is the soul that keeps the record of our journey through the Earth plane. You might have also heard of the Akashik record. That is the soul component in us.
