Community Plus Organization (COPO)
COPO is the parent and umbrella organization responsible for providing strategic leadership, governance, policy direction, coordination, accountability, resource mobilization, and oversight across all affiliated initiatives and institutions. Through an integrated community development approach, COPO promotes sustainable livelihoods, poverty reduction, social inclusion, environmental stewardship, skills development, and economic empowerment for communities across Tanzania.
Community Plus Green College (CoPGC)
CoPGC serves as the education, training, and capacity-building arm of COPO. The college provides vocational, technical, entrepreneurship, digital skills, environmental, and community development training programs aimed at equipping youth, women, and vulnerable groups with practical knowledge and employable skills. CoPGC supports lifelong learning and workforce development to enhance productivity, innovation, and self-reliance.
Community Plus Microfinance (CoPM)
CoPM is the financial inclusion and community microfinance arm of COPO. It promotes access to responsible financial services through VICOBA strengthening, savings mobilization, financial literacy, entrepreneurship support, microcredit facilitation, and economic empowerment initiatives. CoPM works to expand financial opportunities for underserved populations, particularly women, youth, smallholder farmers, and micro-enterprises.
Community Plus Agro & Environment Initiative (CoPMAE)
CoPMAE is the agriculture, climate resilience, and environmental sustainability arm of COPO. It focuses on promoting sustainable agriculture, agribusiness development, environmental conservation, climate-smart farming practices, natural resource management, afforestation, renewable energy awareness, and community resilience programs. The initiative supports communities to improve food security, increase incomes, and protect the environment for future generations.
COPO provides the overall governance and strategic framework, while CoPGC, CoPM, and CoPMAE function as specialized implementation units that deliver sector-specific programs and services. Together, they create an integrated ecosystem that addresses education and skills development, financial inclusion, agriculture, environmental sustainability, and community empowerment under a unified mission of sustainable development and poverty reduction.

Under his leadership, COPO continues to advance programs focused on poverty reduction, youth and women empowerment, financial inclusion, and community capacity strengthening.

Imikigwe E. Mwambembela
COPO Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning {ME&L}
He is responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and learning across all COPO projects. His role ensures that all project data (including Inventory, Dispatch, VICOBA, and community activities) is properly collected, analyzed, and reported for decision-making and donor reporting.
The ME&L Officer also ensures data accuracy, transparency in project implementation, and progress tracking against COPO objectives and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially poverty reduction and community economic empowerment.
Teofrid Stephan Soso
He serves as the chief administrative and coordination officer of Community Plus Organization (COPO). He is responsible for overseeing organizational operations, ensuring smooth coordination between departments, and supporting the implementation of COPO’s strategic plans and community development programs.
The Secretary General plays a key role in governance, communication, and supervision of all project activities, ensuring that COPO operates in line with its mission, policies, and development objectives.
