UNiTE team Zoom call
25 february 2025
On Tuesday, 25th of February 2025, the UNiTE team organised a big Zoom call as a kick-off for the preparations for this year's "Orange the World" campaign. This campaign will start in 9 months' time, on the 25th of November.
More than 300 Inner Wheel members from around the world participated in the Zoom call. It was an occasion for the UNiTE team to inspire and galvanise everyone into action to End Violence Against Women and Girls.
The Call started of with a moving video showing examples of IW OtW 2024 campaign activities from all over the world. The video was created by Sandra Neretljakovic, from Croatia.
After opening words by Anita Meerdink (The Netherlands), Marlies Arnoldus (The Netherlands) took on the role as moderator. She introduced six representatives from IW clubs & districts around the world to showcase their activity in the 2024 OtW campaign. The very diverse examples served to inspire everyone to think about activities for their own club, district or region in the coming 2025 campaign.
Then followed a powerful presentation by Sandra Neretljakovic (Croatia), to explain the importance of the Orange the World campaign, and why Inner Wheel can play a big role globally.
She explains how we can use the video and powerpoint materials inside and outside of Inner Wheel. See the slides below.

Yeok San presented the exciting plan for a global kickoff activity for this year's OtW campaign. See below for the slides with information.
The aim is for as many IW Clubs & Districts as possible to organize a walk or run in their area to raise awareness of the OtW campaign. All on the same day: 25 November 2025. In every region adapted to the local circumstances and customs.
The slides offer tips and suggestions.
The UNiTE team will help with a global slogan, tips & suggestions, event logo and PR materials. These will be released later this year (see the slides for tentative timeline).
More information and announcements will be shared in the Whatsapp group from time to time. They will also be posted on this website.
Next on the agenda was a Question & Answer session with child psychologist Leony Coppens on childhood trauma and resilience, and how we can all make a difference. See also the video that she made earlier.
The zoom call was closed with ending words by IIW Vice President Kay Morland (Australia), who is the incoming International President 2025-2026.
