Towards the culmination of the 16 days of ‘Orange the World’ campaign, today we stood in unison and educated the young girls and women to standup for themselves as from each wound there is a scar and each scar says a different story. A story which says- I SURVIVED-inspite of all the atrocities.
Girls were also taught that domestic violence is the violation of basic human rights by anyone around us-a relative, parent , sibling or anybody around us-they should be aware and should remain vigilant . It was indeed a very fruitful meet.

We organized a transformative awareness program for senior citizens, including men and women, in a remote village today . The session focused on ending violence against women and girls while addressing broader issues of human rights. Club members emphasized that every individual, regardless of gender, has the right to live with dignity, access basic needs, and participate equally in society. The discussions highlighted how women and girls are often denied these rights due to traditional norms, and the importance of breaking these barriers to ensure a fair and just society.
The program encouraged the participants, especially men, to recognize that they have a shared responsibility to protect and promote these rights, including the right to education for girls. Participants were reminded that educating girls not only empowers them but strengthens entire families and communities. The session also broke the silence around topics often considered taboo, such as domestic violence and gender inequality, urging everyone to create a safer, more inclusive environment for girls.
Men were encouraged to support women and girls as allies and role models, realizing that their efforts today would ensure care and respect in their elderly years, as it is often daughters who provide unconditional support. After the session, blankets, shawls, sandals, and food were distributed among the participants, who patiently engaged despite the cold winter day. The event ended with a powerful group photograph, symbolizing a collective commitment to human rights, gender equality, and a brighter future for women and girls. Orange the World 🧡 🌎.

The Orange for the World Campaign in Trinidad and Tobago launched with enthusiasm at our annual fundraiser, the highly anticipated Parang event. Over 250 attendees joined us, each proudly wearing orange bands as a symbol of solidarity. During the event, our President, Cheryl, delivered a powerful opening speech that resonated with the audience, emphasizing the importance of ending violence against women and girls in our communities.
As part of the campaign, we created two impactful videos:
Awareness Video: Designed to educate and inform.
Call-to-Action Video: Encouraging others to join the movement by creating their own videos or using orange-themed profile frames.
Despite a short awareness period, we are immensely proud of the campaign's reach and engagement over just six days since the videos launched. Here’s what we accomplished:

A Past President also shared the campaign, generating 887 interactions on their post alone.
Our members enthusiastically supported the initiative by adding orange frames to their profile pictures. We estimate that around 20 members and friends actively participated in this creative show of support.
We were excited and honored to do our part in our little corner of the world, lending our voice to this critical cause. Together, we made a difference in raising awareness and advocating to end violence against women and girls. Let’s continue to shine a light on this issue and inspire others to join us. Orange for the World, for a safer and brighter future!

We organized an awareness campaign in a remote area near Hyderabad, addressing the issue of violence against women & girls. The women in this area were largely unaware of their rights and were subjected to emotional and physical abuse on a daily basis.
President Ms. Shehnaz and Ms. Seema Shaikh, members of Inner Wheel Hyderabad Indus, encouraged the women to speak up for themselves and to stand against such abusive actions.
A young girl named Naureen, who had been enduring emotional and physical abuse from her in-laws, was invited to share her story. She received praise for her bravery, and her testimony inspired other young girls in the community.
PDC Mehar Sultana addressed the queries from the attendees and provided valuable insights. The program was a significant success, marking a step forward in addressing the ongoing violence against women and taking a stand against the harsh treatment women face, particularly in areas like Pakistan.

In shadows deep, where silence grows,
A cry of sorrow no one knows.
Her tears, unseen, fall in despair,
In homes once thought a haven fair.
But orange flames now light the skies,
A movement bold, we rise, we rise.
No more silence, no more pain,
Together we’ll break this endless chain.
