Subject: Art
Topic: Understanding and Applying Color
Level/Stream: Secondary 3
Students’ characteristics/ Learner analysis:
Students already have an elementary knowledge of the relationship between light and color and have mastered the elements of color. Students have developed their visual perception to a more refined level, have good observation skills, are perceptive of the concept of color, are curious, and have active thinking. Students' aesthetic concepts are gradually forming. However, there is a lack of knowledge and experience in how to interpret color emotions and use color to express them. Students live in an era of consumption; exposure to a variety of products and colors is an important part of product design. They have an interest in and experience with social beauty, natural beauty, and artistic beauty. Students' comprehension, design ability, and hands-on production ability have all reached a certain level. Therefore, students need to try to apply their color knowledge to the real world to enhance their creativity.
