As a note, all the photos used in this section were found on pexels.com, which provides stock photos for public use.
I used a photo of a giraffe walking in the savannah.
I thought it would be interesting to change the background to something completely different, a city block fits well to me. I changed the opacity of the giraffe and added a light gradient to help merge the photos. I would go and find more ways to merge them in the future.
I used a picture of Arnold Schwarzenegger, from my Module 3 project
I used a red and yellow gradient map, the black and white photo allowed the color to expose the shadows well and create great definition in the photo
I used a close up grill picture of a red Ford Mustang muscle car
I overlaid a picture of wild horses which is fitting for tis image since mustangs are wild horses. The image was grayscale so I added a red and yellow gradient which helped create depth in horses and the ground.
Removing an Object From a Photo
ORIGINAL
I used an image of a person walking down a road
EDITED
I used content aware fill to hide the person and fill in the area with the road design that surrounded them.
Creating a Pattern
ORIGINAL
I made a design for my typography class to be repeated multiple times on a spread.
EDITED
I used the pattern tool in Adobe Illustrator to repeat the design in a staggered order
Creating a Circular Pixel Stretch
ORIGINAL
I found an image of a man jumping in the air during a basketball game
EDITED
I used a circular pixel stretch effect to take the color of his jersey and stretch it into a round shape. I want to practice this effect because it seems so unique for photo editing
Making a Flowing Liquid Effect
ORIGINAL
I made a design for one of my typography projects, this is two things, part of the letter R with the bowl and the stroke shown and it is also meant to represent poured out beer.
EDITED
I used the burn and dodge tools to add shadows and to emulate movement. I then added an emboss effect to ad depth to the edges so it is not a flat shape. It makes it look more liquid like but I want to practice this so it looks better in the future
Emulating Dynamic Movement
ORIGINAL
I used a photo of a football player running with the ball.
EDITED
I added a path blur onto different parts of the player making those sections have the moving effect. Then I used a mask to unblur specific areas I wanted to be focused.
