SELFIE

My Reflection:

We carried out the SELFIE at the end of August 2023 at one of our CPD days.  In hindsight, it is perhaps better to wait until the mid or end of first term as teachers will be back working for a while which may be helpful when answering some of the detailed questions.  

Our focus based on the Selfie report findings is to concentrate more on inhouse teacher CPD opportunities. (Covering Google classroom, practice sets, screencastify, Google drive, Google sites, practice sets,  Gamification: Quizlet, Blooket, Kahoot) 

The Selfie identified students need to improve their ability to reflect on their work and how to improve. The teacher digital team designed an exit form to aim student reflection.

 I also set up a student  (TY/LCA) digital team for the first time and they will run an internet safety campaign and manage the chromebook trolley daily.  We have also facilitated female TY/5th year students to complete the STEM passport.

SELFIE (Self-reflection on Effective Learning by Fostering the use of Innovative Educational Technologies) is a tool designed to help schools embed digital technologies into teaching, learning and student assessment. To be eligible for the Digital Schools Award programme, you must complete a school self-evaluation using SELFIE and upload your SELFIE report to your account.
