Challenge 6
Task
Create a future world design artefact that reflects you applying a thoughtful consideration of the diverse perspectives and value systems of art and design educators and students on the topic of AI in creative higher education in LCC.
Tell the story of this artefact through visual and written narrative.
Key method: worldbuilding
The brief requires a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as a willingness to challenge existing power structures and norms.
Guidance
Decide who would be involved in the future where a range of perspectives would be taken equally:
Create a diverse group of personalities from student life.
Create personas in different channels in ChatGPT
Work with them to develop your solution.
Make sure to incorporate all the perspectives.
Critically evaluate the values and assumptions that underlie your design solutions.
Consider how these values and assumptions may be biased or exclusionary and seek to create designs that challenge and transform existing power structures.
Surface trends around AI in creative education from ChatGPT (and see what) that point towards an alternative world.
Extrapolate from your generated information so far and build a future/alternative world scenario of how this artefact could be used.
Deliverables
Prototype a concept for an artefact with the available AI tools at your disposal from this world that you can ‘bring back to engage people within the present.'
Small document capturing key moments of the process of development and prototyping
Outcome
A future design artefact that considers different perspectives and challenges existing power structures and norms.
This artefact will use AI to envision a future where creativity and education are enhanced by technology, creating a more inclusive and equitable education.
ChatGPT Guidance
Crafting a prompt takes a bit of time.
"Prime" the model using prompts such as: "Let's talk about [your topic]" or "What more context you need to know about [your topic] to better answer my question?"
Specificity in your prompts: the more specific the prompt, the better output. Use "[your prompt]. Analyse the prompt specificity and suggest/ implement improvements."
Provide clear tasks to improve output. You can ask ChatGPT to chunk down your big prompt into specific tasks.
Iterate your prompts with a specific focus. If not, at least regenerate responses from ChatGPT until you get a great result.
ChatGPT does not know anything about what you want to create. You need to provide enough context to get better answers.
Blue Willow
Create your prompt using: /imagine [your prompt]
Your prompt should come on an orange background
Words that come early will have greater weight in the produced result than the ones that come later.
Keep in mind that it might not always work, and you need to repeat your attempt.
Make sure you take your time to play and craft your prompt.

Example: a botanical bearded fairy prince
Details/ Surroundings/ Elements
Example: flowing hair, sky eyes, symmetrical, mossy antlers, intensively sad gaze, wearing floral diadem
