The Pros and Cons of Using AI Tools in Creative Projects
Balancing Creativity and Efficiency: How AI Tools are Changing the Creative Process

The Future of Creativity: How AI Tools are Redefining the Boundaries of the Creative Process
Try to write as little as possible – write through prompts and ChatGPT.
Make sure you have some cycles of iteration.
The aim is to develop a creative and personal argument informed by a deep understanding of the works of others, as well as your own unique perspective and personal experiences.
Key authors
(include at least two of them to support your position)
" Human + Machine: Reimagining Work in the Age of AI " by Paul Daugherty and H. James Wilson
"Machines Like Me" by Ian McEwan
"The Death of Expertise" by Tom Nichols
"The Inevitable: Understanding the 12 Technological Forces That Will Shape Our Future" by Kevin Kelly
You can source more but make sure that they are existent ones as sometimes ChatGPT does not give real work!
You can also select an artist if this would strengthen your points.
Deliverables
Essay 250 words (+ or - 10% of the word count)
Provide two brief sentences at the end how did you find your journey - extra to your piece
The citations used within the text and reference list should be in Harvard style
Useful ways to use ChatGPT
How you can potentially use ChatGPT:
Finding more sources
Ask for an explanation of the sources;
Find relevant points to your work;
Question their validity;
Merge/ combine points together as long as it supports your argument;
Look for connections between the arguments you include from others and your opinion;
Test the strength and validity of your argument
ChatGPT Guidance
Crafting a prompt takes a bit of time.
"Prime" the model using prompts such as: "Let's talk about [your topic]" or "What more context you need to know about [your topic] to better answer my question?"
Specificity in your prompts: the more specific the prompt, the better output. Use "[your prompt]. Analyse the prompt specificity and suggest/ implement improvements."
Provide clear tasks to improve output. You can ask ChatGPT to chunk down your big prompt into specific tasks.
Iterate your prompts with a specific focus. If not, at least regenerate responses from ChatGPT until you get a great result.
ChatGPT does not know anything about what you want to create. You need to provide enough context to get better answers.
