Thanks for stopping by! If you're exploring Co-Dependents Anonymous (CoDA) and wondering what our meetings are like, you're in the right place.
Wednesdays | 7–8:00 PM Eastern (Online Only)
Anyone with a desire for healthy and loving relationships is welcome—no matter your background, identity, or experience. That’s the only requirement to attend a CoDA meeting. We welcome people of all races, ages, abilities, religious affiliations, gender identities, and sexual orientations.
Many of our members also attend other Twelve Step fellowships. CoDA complements, rather than replaces, those programs.
CoDA meetings are completely free. There are no dues or fees to attend. You don’t need to sign up or let us know in advance. You’re welcome to come exactly as you are.
Our meetings are one hour long, and they follow a consistent, gentle structure. Meetings are led by CoDA members who volunteer their time through service roles.
Here's what a typical Wednesday meeting looks like:
Opening
Welcome to Newcomers
Introductions - "I'm _____, and I am codependent."
Patterns and Characteristics (we read one page per meeting)
Meditation (from "The Language of Letting Go" by Melody Beattie)
Reminders and Announcements
Step Reading from CoDA Book (Full or pocket edition) (One step is read per meeting. PDF shown in meeting.)
Small Group Sharing (We break into small groups for about 15–20 minutes of sharing)
Closing
During the small group check-in, members are invited to share briefly about their current experiences and feelings. Sharing is always optional.
Some newcomers choose to listen quietly at first, and others feel ready to speak. Both are perfectly okay. When we do share, we use:
“I” statements (to focus on our own experience)
A time limit of 3–5 minutes, so everyone has time to share
This part of the meeting helps many of us feel seen, heard, and less alone.
