Whether you’re brand new to Co-Dependents Anonymous (CoDA) or simply looking for a new meeting to attend, we want to warmly welcome you. Our group exists to carry the message of recovery to anyone struggling with codependency—and that includes you.
Anyone with a desire for healthy and loving relationships is welcome. That’s the only requirement to attend a CoDA meeting. We welcome people of all backgrounds, including all races, ages, abilities, religious affiliations, gender identities, and sexual orientations.
Many of our members also attend other 12-step programs. CoDA is not meant to replace other programs, and they don’t replace CoDA—each offers something unique.
We currently meet online only on Wednesdays from 7:00–8:00 PM eastern.
There’s no need to sign up or register in advance—just show up as you are. You don’t need to read anything ahead of time or prepare in any special way. CoDA meetings are free of charge.
Our meeting format includes:
The first half: We read from CoDA literature (you can follow along, or just listen).
The second half: We break into small sharing groups. If it's your first meeting, you’ll be invited into a newcomer group.
In the newcomer group, you'll have the chance to:
Meet others who are new to CoDA, along with experienced members
Hear stories of experience, strength, and hope
Share what brought you to CoDA. Sharing is completely optional. Some people feel nervous their first time, while others are ready to talk. It’s okay either way.
Ask questions and receive helpful resources
You can join any Wednesday meeting simply by clicking the Join Online link. There’s a group of people here who’ve been where you are and want to walk alongside you.
If you’re wondering whether CoDA is right for you, we encourage you to come to a meeting and see how it feels. You’ll be met with kindness, understanding, and no expectations.
