Normative modelling
Normative modelling
Understanding what is "normal" in the brain is a prerequisite for identifying what is not. Normative modelling provides a principled framework for building brain-based reference maps that account for confounds such as age, sex, and recording site — making it possible to detect subtle abnormalities at the level of the individual.
We have established normative baselines across modalities: intracranial EEG, scalp EEG, MEG, and MRI. To make these methods accessible, we have developed easy-to-use software tools for normative modelling and published practical guides on their use.
