“Not Your Daddy’s Standard Gauge: A Guide to Modern Era Standard Gauge Trains and the People Who Made Them” has been completed and is available now.
The 648-page, fully illustrated, hardbound volume can be ordered by emailing: CMTLLC@gmavt.net.
Paypal payments will be accepted to that email address. We are not set up to accept direct credit card payments: however you can use your credit card to pay by Paypal. On the Paypal webpage, just go to "Send Money" and enter CMTLLC@gmavt.net as the destination. Price is $120 plus $16 shipping. Be sure to include your full mailing address.
Please be sure to email me when you send the Paypal payment, as Paypal does not always notify me. Also, please do not send the Paypal payment "friends and family". While I appreciate the thought, the payment is obviously a commercial payment to an LLC for a product, and I would like not to get kicked off Paypal.
Alternatively, you can order by mail to:
CMT LLC
PO Box 21
Hinesburg VT 05461
Enclose your check made out to "CMT LLC".
Price is $120 plus $16 shipping.
Whether ordering by email or mail, be sure to include your name and mailing address. Books will be shipped by U.S. Postal Service Priority mail, estimated 3 to 5 days shipping time, and shipping cost will be $16 in addition to the $120 book price.
I also try to attend the April and October train shows at York PA, and have table D11-12 in the Red Hall, where the book is for sale. Of course there is no shipping charge if you buy the book in person.
There have been a number of rumors that have been started about the price of the book. To clarify:
$120 is the actual cost per copy of having the book printed and bound here in the USA, in Lancaster, PA. When you hold the book for the first time, you will understand why: it is a massive volume, and a very high quality production. CMT LLC is not making any money on this book, we are selling it at our cost to produce it. Also, the price has remained the same since the book was published: no one has paid a higher or a lower price for the book.
Thank you for your interest in “Not Your Daddy’s Standard Gauge”!
