CMT Freight Cars

CMT LLC freight cars are all hand-built in Hinesburg, Vermont, USA, of 26 gauge steel. Many of the joints are welded: others use the traditional tinplate tab-and-slot construction. All are fitted with the traditional hook couplers commonly used on many brands of Modern Era Standard Gauge, and the couplers are attached with threaded machine screws and nuts, so that you can easily replace them with other types of couplers if you choose to do so. We offer freight cars in all the major configuration types and in multiple different railroad heralds and private owner logos. We always have ideas for new colors and heralds "in the works" for future releases.
