CMC/CMT did not make the low-sided "machinery car" type of flatcar; we have added this adaptable car to the line to carry many types of loads on your pike.Â
We have kept the early CMT design for the bulkhead flatcar, but have moved the bulkheads out closer to the ends of the frame where they belong, and added a load of pipe.
The CMT LLC Log Car comes equipped with brass side stakes and a load of natural logs.
We are very proud of our new design, the drop-center flatcar. To complement the car, we have given it a large cable reel as a load, with a classic logo dating back to the heyday of Standard Gauge. At 16 inches, it is longer than the rest of the freight cars, and of course the center hangs lower; rest assured we have tested the drop-center flatcar and it runs fine over prewar Standard Gauge bridges and curves.
