Empowering Pharmacy Students: Recap of Recent Training Sessions 

Hands-On Training in Method Development by RP-HPLC

From 23/05/2024 to 01/06/2024, our students engaged in intensive hands-on training focused on method development using RP-HPLC. This session encompassed comprehensive training in sample preparation techniques, precise equipment handling, and meticulous RP-HPLC data interpretation. Led by experienced analytical chemists, participants acquired essential skills vital for advanced pharmaceutical analysis and research.

Training on Maintenance of Laboratory Animal House Facility and Preclinical Screening Techniques

On 29/05/2024, students delved into the critical aspects of maintaining a laboratory animal house facility and mastering preclinical screening techniques. This session underscored ethical standards in animal research, facility management protocols, and advanced methodologies in preclinical screening. Led by experts in pharmacology and animal sciences, the training equipped participants with foundational knowledge essential for conducting rigorous and ethical preclinical studies.

Skill Development Program on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)

From 25/06/2024 to 26/06/2024, first and fourth-year B. Pharmacy students immersed themselves in a skill development program centered on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). Facilitated by experts in pharmacy law and patenting, this program explored patenting processes, patent searches, and the legal nuances of IPR in the pharmaceutical sector. Participants gained valuable insights into safeguarding intellectual assets, fostering innovation, and navigating the complexities of pharmaceutical patents.

World Hypertension Day - 2024

Date: 17/05/2024
Theme: "Measure Your Blood Pressure Accurately, Control It, Live Longer"

Pharm.D interns organized an awareness program at the Department of Cardiology and General Medicine. Their initiative aimed to educate the public about hypertension, emphasizing the importance of accurate blood pressure measurement, effective control strategies, and the impact on longevity. This event highlighted the critical role of pharmacists in managing hypertension and promoting cardiovascular health.

World Preeclampsia Day - 2024

Date: 22/05/2024

In collaboration with the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the Government General Hospital, Guntur, Pharm.D interns conducted an awareness program on World Preeclampsia Day. The initiative focused on raising awareness about preeclampsia, a serious pregnancy complication, among expectant mothers and healthcare professionals. The session emphasized early detection, management strategies, and the importance of prenatal care in reducing maternal and fetal risks.

World Brain Tumor Day - 2024

Date: 08/06/2024

At the NATCO Cancer Center, Government General Hospital, Guntur, Pharm.D interns organized an awareness program on World Brain Tumor Day. This initiative aimed to educate patients, caregivers, and the community about brain tumors, their symptoms, treatment options, and support services available. The event underscored the role of pharmacists in oncology care and patient advocacy.

Brain Health and Prevention Awareness Program

Date: 08/06/2024

In collaboration with PMBJAK and IPA - LAM Local Branch, V/VI Pharm.D students organized an awareness program on brain health and prevention on World Tumor Day. This initiative focused on promoting brain health strategies, raising awareness about tumor prevention through lifestyle modifications, and educating the community about early signs and symptoms of brain tumors. The event emphasized the pharmacist's role in public health education and disease prevention.

Placements:

Campus placement drive of Divis Laboratories, Hyderabad for IV/IV B. Pharmacy, II/II M. Pharmacy and VI/VI Pharm. D students. 26 students were placed in the industries.

Community Engagement and Environmental Sustainability Initiatives at Chalapathi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2024 

Youth Unite Session: Organizers: Sisters Sujatha, Tejaswini, and Abhyasi (Heartfulness trainer). Participants: B. Pharmacy & Pharm. D students. on April 10th to April 24th, 2024. To engage and empower youth through guided sessions, likely focusing on mindfulness, emotional well-being, and personal development.

Swacha Andhra, Clean and Green Programme: Organized by: NSS UNIT-II of Chalapathi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Participants: III/IV B. Pharmacy NSS volunteers and staff members. Date: May 10th, 2024. Location: Medicinal Plant Garden. Clean and Green Program in Medicinal Garden by I/IV & II/IV B. Pharmacy was conducted on 25/06/2024.  Conducted women cell  event on awareness of gender equality on 29/06/2024
