Privacy Policy for Wingshift
Effective Date: September 9, 2026
1. Introduction
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains what information Wingshift processes when you play the game on the Meta Horizon platform.
Wingshift is an offline, single-player virtual reality game. It does not require a Wingshift account or an internet connection for its core gameplay.
2. Personal Data and Meta Platform Features
The developer of Wingshift does not collect, receive, store, transmit, or share personal information through Meta Platform SDK features.
In particular, Wingshift does not request or use access to:
User Age Group — Wingshift does not request or receive the user's age group from Meta;
User ID — Wingshift does not request or receive the user's Meta Horizon user ID;
User Profile — Wingshift does not request or receive the user's display name, username, profile photo, or avatar information;
In-App Purchases — Wingshift does not offer in-app purchases and does not request access to Meta in-app purchase or payment information.
Wingshift also does not request or collect microphone recordings, camera recordings, advertising identifiers, analytics profiles, or tracking data for advertising or marketing purposes.
Meta may separately process account, platform, device, age, purchase, or other information as part of the Meta Horizon platform and operating system. Such processing is performed independently by Meta and is governed by Meta's own privacy policies and terms. Wingshift does not receive the Meta data listed above from those services.
3. Information Processed Locally on the Device
Wingshift processes only the information necessary to operate the game locally on the user's device:
XR input data: temporary headset and motion-controller position and orientation data used to control gameplay, aim weapons, calibrate the experience, and determine controller tracking. This data is used in runtime memory and is not recorded, uploaded, or shared by the developer.
Local game data: campaign progress, scores, upgrades, selected mission, accessibility preferences, comfort settings, haptics settings, and audio-volume settings. This information is stored locally on the device so that the game can remember progress and preferences. It is not transmitted to the developer or stored on developer-operated servers.
4. How Information Is Used
Locally processed information is used only to:
operate the game and its virtual reality controls;
calibrate controller positions and gameplay interactions;
provide aiming, haptics, comfort options, and accessibility settings;
save and restore campaign progress, scores, upgrades, and preferences on the device.
Wingshift does not use this information for advertising, marketing, profiling, analytics, cross-app tracking, or sharing with third parties.
Wingshift does not include online multiplayer, global leaderboards, cloud saves, user accounts, or in-app purchases in the current version.
5. Data Retention
XR input data: retained only temporarily in memory while required for gameplay and discarded when it is no longer required or when the application closes.
Local game data: retained on the device until the user clears the application's stored data or uninstalls the game.
Server-side player data: the developer does not operate a server that stores Wingshift player data.
6. Disclosure and Sharing
The developer does not sell, rent, share, or disclose Wingshift player data to advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, or other third parties.
Wingshift does not transmit locally processed XR input data or local game data to the developer.
7. Security Measures
Reasonable measures are used to limit data processing to what is necessary for the game to function. Local game data remains in the application's local device storage, while temporary XR input data is processed only during gameplay.
8. Data Deletion
The developer does not store Wingshift player data on its own servers and therefore has no server-side player data to delete.
To delete locally stored Wingshift data, users can clear the application's storage using the device settings or uninstall the game. This removes locally stored game progress and preferences.
For information processed independently by Meta through the Meta Horizon platform, users should use the privacy and account controls provided by Meta.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the game, platform requirements, or our data practices. When changes are made, the updated version will include a new Effective Date.
