Dreadwell — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 October 2026 · Developer: MGWD

1. Introduction

Dreadwell does not collect personal data about you and never sends data to MGWD. The game has no user accounts, no online features, no ads, no analytics and no in-app purchases, and it never uses the microphone or camera images.

This policy explains what information is involved when you play Dreadwell, a virtual reality game for Meta Quest headsets made by MGWD ("we", "us"). It covers the game itself and any email you send us. Meta's own services (your Meta account, the Meta Horizon Store and the Quest operating system) are covered by Meta's policies, described in section 3.

MGWD is the studio name of an independent developer based in Poland. The developer is responsible for the game, acts as the data controller for the personal data described here, and can be reached at mgwdgames@gmail.com.

2. Information the game handles

Everything the game saves stays on your headset, does not identify you and never reaches MGWD. The only personal data we may hold is an email you choose to send us.

The game does not collect your name, Meta account details, user ID, location, voice, camera images, eye or face tracking data, contacts, payment details or advertising identifiers. The game removes the microphone permission, so your headset will never ask for it.

3. Meta Quest platform and third-party services

Three outside companies are involved: Meta runs the headset and the store, Unity provides the game engine, and Google hosts our email.

Meta. You buy, download and run Dreadwell through the Meta Horizon Store on a Meta Quest headset signed in to your Meta account. Meta collects information about your account, purchases, device and app use under its own policies: the Meta Privacy Policy and the Supplemental Meta Platforms Technologies Privacy Policy. MGWD does not control that processing. When the game starts, it asks the Meta platform to confirm that your account owns Dreadwell; this check runs between your headset and Meta, and MGWD does not receive or store your account details. Meta gives us only aggregated sales and usage statistics, from which we cannot identify you. If you turn on cloud backup in your Meta account, Meta may also back up the game's saved data described in section 2.

Unity. Dreadwell is built with the Unity engine by Unity Technologies, with Unity's diagnostics and crash reporting turned off. The engine may still send Unity anonymous technical information such as the headset model, which does not identify you. See Unity's Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.

Google. Our email address is a Gmail account, so messages you send us are stored by Google under the Google Privacy Policy.

4. How we use information

We use information only to run the game and answer your messages. We never sell or rent it, use it for advertising or profiling, or share it beyond the service providers named in section 3.

6. Children's privacy

Dreadwell is a horror game made for mature players and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, email us and we will delete it.

7. Your rights

To use any of these rights, email mgwdgames@gmail.com; we reply within one month.

The game itself gives us no data about you, so in practice these rights concern emails you have sent us.

8. Changes and contact

If we change this policy, for example because a game update adds new features, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
