Our mission is to support all 32 Louisiana ports in building a cleaner, more resilient future by offering advancing data-driven planning, community partnership, and workforce readiness.

Developing a power use and carbon footprint baseline for all 32 Louisiana ports
Evaluating plans to move towards carbon neutrality
Integrating communities into port decision making
Outlining plans to enhance resiliency of ports during severe weather events
Bolster workforce development activities in partnership with local educational institutions
This project will generate information at each Louisiana port to provide insights into planning strategies to reduce the ecological footprints of the ports while also growing economic development activities at each port coupled with enhancing the quality of life around each ports.
The plans for each port may be used by the port and the State of Louisiana to development more competitive proposals to the USEPA and other funding agencies to increase the funding opportunities for Louisiana’s ports.
