The Better Guarantee!
Many breeders offer a health guarantee in replacement of proper health testing and responsible breeding practices... They will sell you a puppy and offer a guarantee that states if it dies or is diagnosed with a genetic health issue within a specific time frame, 6 months, 1 year, 3 years, etc you can bring it back and get a refund or exchange it for another puppy. I wholeheartedly disagree with this mindset! Puppies are lifelong companions, they are not toaster ovens. You can not just return or exchange them if they break! Instead, as a responsible breeder I am educated about the health issues that are possible in the Miniature Schnauzer breed, I actively test for them and will gladly share the results with buyers before purchase! This is the guarantee that your puppy is clear for genetic disorders that could be prevented! In addition, we provide our puppies with all the proper prevention like shots and parasite control to make sure your puppy doesn't get a disease or parasite (which obviously can not be prevented from a genetic standpoint.) Also, to be certain your puppy is of sound health when you adopt him/her we take each puppy to our vet for a thorough examination prior to sale! We all know that even with all the proper precautions, prevention is only preveniton... emergencies happen but our support does not stop there! We offer 30 days of free puppy insurance to almost every family to cover those unexpected emergencies like injuries, poisoning, illness, etc! See our complete health guarantee below!
Health Guarantee / Bill of Sale
Dogs can be our dearest friends. That's why the unwitting purchase of an unhealthy pet can be so devastating. This document guarantees that our puppies are symptom free and of sound health at the time of pickup or delivery. We provide a health certificate issued by our licensed veterinarian at the time of pickup/delivery documenting that each puppy was in sound health at the time of sale and complete history of all medical preventions. Emergencies happen, but we never want the treatment your puppy receives to be limited by finances, we arranged for your puppy to receive 30 Days of Free Pet insurance! Unless you are a resident of New York State, you must activate your puppy’s mandatory pet insurance within 24 hours of bringing him/her home. Unless the buyer is a NY resident, failure to activate your puppy’s insurance within 24 hours will be seen as a form of neglect and will void this guarantee entirely. Purchasing further insurance coverage after 30 days is the decision of the buyer. Any pre-existing conditions will be documented via the puppy’s health certificate issued by a veterinarian disclosing said preexisting condition. Pet insurance does not cover such conditions nor does it cover routine medical care. __________

If
you are ever unable to keep your puppy for any reason, we require you to contact us so we can accept the puppy back into our home or assist in rehoming your puppy to another qualified family. Costs associated with returning the puppy are the responsibility of the new owner not the breeder. Refunds of the purchase price in the case of returns are not offered. ____________
Health is our number one priority within our breeding program. While we have had each puppy examined for congenital health issues prior to sale and provided a copy of the puppy’s parents’ genetic testing, some health issues remain challenging to test for, track, or predict. If your puppy is ever diagnosed with a congenital or hereditary illness or defect during their lifetime you are asked to notify us as the breeder immediately with documentation from your veterinarian diagnosing the health issue. We want to make informed and responsible decisions within our program to ensure we are improving the health of the Miniature Schnauzer breed while preserving the standard of the breed. ___________
The buyer assumes all responsibility for any veterinarian bills incurred once the puppy leaves the premises of the breeder. Buyer has been advised and understands that virtually all puppies carry the protozoa that can cause coccidia and giardia and that stressful conditions such as moving to a new home, transportation, lack of sufficient rest, etc. can cause parasites to become active, causing symptoms with your puppy. Because all puppies were on a strict parasite prevention plan, the breeder can not reimburse a buyer for internal or external
parasites. Small breeds puppies like Miniature Schnauzers require frequent meals up to 3 times daily and fresh water at all times. This contract does not cover Hypoglycemia (abnormally low levels of blood glucose) which can result from the lack of diligence when it comes to ensuring your puppy is eating and drinking. Health issues that can stem from environmental factors, diet, or lifestyle are never covered in this guarantee. The buyer is responsible for any veterinarian costs associated with medical care of the puppy such as physical exam fees, booster shots, future parasite treatment/prevention, or emergency vet care. All compensation for unforeseen medical issues within the first 30 days must be processed directly through TruPanion Pet Insurance. ___________
