The Computer / CAD Laboratory provides students with practical exposure to modern drafting and building information modeling tools widely used in the civil engineering industry. The laboratory is equipped with advanced computer systems and industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Revit, enabling students to develop technical drawing, drafting, and visualization skills. Through hands-on exercises, students learn to prepare detailed 2D drawings of structural components, building plans, elevations, sections, and foundation layouts, as well as create basic 3D models of residential and commercial buildings. The laboratory also introduces Building Information Modeling (BIM) concepts using Revit, covering architectural elements, sheet creation, rendering, and data extraction from digital models. This practical training enhances students' ability to communicate engineering designs accurately, improves productivity through computer-aided drafting techniques, and strengthens their employability in the fields of civil engineering, construction, architecture, and infrastructure development. This laboratory is has around 30 computers with high configuration and internet facility. All are connected in LAN. This lab is connected with Multimedia Projector and necessary software installed in this lab.
