Dear Friend Chinatown
Tian Leng is from Changzhou, China. He graduated from the Dept. of Entertainment Technology at City Tech (class of spring 2019). His culmination project, a short documentary "Dear Friend Chinatown" explores the casual encounters between the filmmaker and everyday life in New York's Chinatown. The film received the Best Documentary Award at the 2019 CUNY Asian American Film Festival. Tian earned a Master’s inFilm Studies at CUNY Graduate Center in 2021. He is now asenior teaching associate in the School of Film and Television Arts at Xi’an Jiaotong,Liverpool University.
